Tenure-Track Professorship for Plant Developmental Signalling

at the Faculty of Biology in the Institute of Biology 3 and the Excellence Cluster CIBSS.

Fulltime position, Start-date: 01.04.2021

This is a grade W1-professorship to which performance payments can be offered.

We seek a young and already successful scientist with an active research program in the field of Plant Developmental Genetics and Signalling. The focus of the work should be on molecular signaling processes that trigger, steer and/or terminate developmental aspects of tissue and/or organ development. The successful candidate will be part of the Excellence Cluster CIBSS Centre for Integrative Biological Signalling Studies, which aims at understanding signaling mechanism across biological scales, and to develop new tools to control cellular and organ functions. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a planned collaborative research centre (CRC/SFB) on plant-environment interactions, and to interact with the local DFG-funded graduate school GRK2344. We expect active participation in the trinational curriculum in biotechnology with the École Supérieure de Biotechnologie Strasbourg, and teaching in Plant Genetics and Plant Developmental Signalling at Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. level.
