2nd Asia-Pacific Plant Phenotyping Conference

23.03.2018 - 25.03.2018

Most important agronomic traits, such as yield, resistances or tolerances to biotic and abiotic stress are the results of the interaction between genotype and environment. Thus, better understanding of the behavior of a specific genotype under certain environments is one of the hotest scientific topics in plant biology and of great significance for sustainable stable crop production.

High-throughput and accurate plant phenotype is one of the bottlenecks for crop improvement. Recently, phenotyping has attracted extensive attentions from crop genetics, breeding and plant biology. Fast-growing high throughput phenotyping techniques have been widely applied in plant research. This is the era of PLANT PHENOMICS!

Plant phenotyping is a young interdisciplinary research, which emphasizes the communication and collaboration of scientists from different areas, such as biology, computer science, physics etc. To meet this requirement, the 1st Asia-Pacific Plant Phenotyping Conference was initiated and held in Beijing in October, 2016. More than 200 participants from 67 institutes of 13 countries attended the conference.

To promote the most advanced research progresses in plant phenotyping, the 2nd Asia-Pacific Plant Phenotyping Conference will be held on March 23-25th, 2018 in Nanjing, a beautiful capital city of six dynasties.
