Presentation

A PhD student position is available in the group of Prof. Niko Geldner in the Department of Plant Molecular Biology. The PhD student will work on a project related to root-microbe interactions. 

At least half of the working time will be dedicated to the doctoral research. The rest of the time will be dedicated to various academic functions including some teaching assistance of undergraduate biology students.

Contract length : 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years

Activity rate : 85%

Workplace : Lausanne-Dorigny

Your qualifications

Master in biological sciences. The researcher shoud have experience in cell biology and molecular biology, ideally having previously worked on plants, especially Arabidopsis. Moreover an aptitude and interest for microscopy, imaging and plant developmental biology is required.
